PDF form which can save data (how tricky can this be?)

Does anyone know how I can create a PDF form so which I can email to a client, they fill in the fields, save it to their computer and then email a copy back to me.

I'm using Pageplusx6 and Word 2007 at the minute. Pageplus x6 will allow me to make a pdf form but the information on it can't be saved (not much of a form then is it?). It could be submitted via the internet, like a standard website form but this defeats the object of the exercise. Because the form is quite long 10 pages or so and the client is unlikely to have all the information at hand to fill it in at one go, the ability to save a partially completed form and then just reopen it and carry on until it's finished before emailing it back is paramount.

I know it this can be done because I have a copy of a form that does exactly that. I'm reluctant to spend hundreds of pounds on Adobe Acrobat as it's just a one off project. So I suppose the question could be, does anyone know of someone who can do the conversion for a reasonable price, by which I mean I'll send them the form as a normal pdf, they open it and save it as an editable saveable form and send it back to me, or I can send them the form in Worrd 2007 format if they can convert that to an editible, saveable pdf form or is there another obvious way to do this that I'm missing?

As I said earlier the main points are that is has to be able to have information put into its fields and then saved on their hard drive by someone with no specialist software on their pc other than possibly adobe reader and then be able to be attached to an email so they can return it.

Sorry if this query seems really long and rambling but apparently me thinking the answer would be easy peasy was ridiculous optimism.

A million thanks (at least) to anyone with an answer:)

Hello,

You need Adobe Acrobat Pro. It's an expensive piece of kit though.

What you may want to do is try FIVERR or Freelancer.co.uk (eLance, etc.).

My wife does these regularly for our business....if you send me the doc, I will have her take a look.

I will see if we can help somehow. I'm sure we can come up with something.

Cheers,

Dave
