Payroll Processing Costs

I have been asked to find out what the costs would be of setting up and running a payroll for 200 employees. Can anyone give me a rough idea of the costs I should be looking at so I know whether the companies I contact are trying to rip me off?

A good online company, should be able to do it for less than £400 per month. You shouldn't be paying more than £500.

It's a business I've been thinking of expanding into.

Will you be doing a weekly payroll or a monthly payroll?

And how detailed will the payroll need to be? Will it be just Gross Pay? Or a bonus as well? Pension Contributions?

As a previous reply stated your cost for 200 employees paid monthly, using a bacs payment service and with the option of manual or epayslips should be around £400 per month. Feel free to PM me with more details of your requirements.

There will be just over 200 employees all monthly paid a salary, there will be a pension (although this will be changining to a new scheme as the company is in the process of changing owners) - there is the possibility of commission payments as well.
