Hi all . We have set up a PayPal business account and there’s about £2000 in there. It wont let me transfer to my bank even though its cleared funds. There’s a 4 step checklist and i have completed 3 from the 4. It says i just have to make another 7 sales to complete the checklist. Anyone else got any advice on this please ? When i try to transfer the money it just gives me the “ sorry something went wrong “ message.

Looks like you have to complete Step 4? ie. You have to make another 7 sales?

I assume this was in the T&C's when you set up the Paypal Business Account?

Appreciate that is quite a bit of cash you cannot get your hands on, especially if it will take some time to get the other 7 sales!

Not sure how it works - but if you get 7 different friends to "buy" something (anything!) using your paypal account will this complete step 4? .

Could you generate those extra 'sales' by buying from your company personally, have a family member buy something, etc, until you reach those last few sales to release the cash?

Obviously, you then refund those orders afterwards so leave enough in the PayPal balance to cover the refunds.

I suspect this was the real issue, but their system got confused or gave priority to showing the transaction requirements rather than the ID requirement.

Did you not have to do this when first setting up the business account?
I honestly cant remember ? But this is what we are doing next. I hope it works. Thanks for the reply
