Set my account up yesterday, went to activate the account and it wouldn't allow me to saying that the password was incorrect... I don't think so, I wrote it down when I typed it in then copied the written down version for my confirmation so that I was sure. Can't log in at all now. I have to phone them.

Personally I've never had a problem logging into PP (except when I've put in the wrong password or email address:rolleyes:).

No chance of an error on my part, Paypal are simply a nightmare and had my fair share of issues with their Customer service dept!

Btw, Paypal now requires everyone to login to be able to reset or have email addresses and passwords sent to them. This means if you can't login, you cannot transfer funds, check account or change email/passwords - Doh!

I know - btw, I tried getting the number from their website, guess what? It forced me to login why, I don't know - but I imagine it was taking my too a different page for some dumb reason :(

I bet by tommorrow there will be a ton of Paypal complaints on forums, blog and web hehe.

Paypal is still broken, not able to get my post out not able to provide a first class service and still paying expensive fees for this service.

We really on web sales and purchase as our life blood and if we are not able to send out our clients purchases we suffer.

There is no service level agreement, there is no commitment to a client that speak to Paypal and asked what happening. ......

Frustrated .............what alternative are there?

It is a server issue and they are working on it and it should be corrected by tomorrow morning.

Hey hang on a minute.......... if it a server issue they have replication all over the world and if its a server issue another server would be able to restore the login and work correctly.

I think it may be a little more than that......... I had Security issue yesterday with my account been setup for recurring payments every month.
Which I didn't request.

So is it more than Just a server issue.

Somehow I just knew I'd find other PayPal victims here...

I have been having issues with capturing authorised PayPal payments today and no sensible response to support tickets (or from that irritating 'Louise' automaton) until resorting to the .44 magnum that is Twitter.

Tweeting (and facebooking) our customers to use Worldpay instead quickly brought some humans out of the PayPal woodwork to deal with it. Could be coincidence, of course, but our PayPal payments are now capturing OK.
