Paypal question

I was just wondering, is it possible to accept a payment through my site using paypal (with an account or quick checkout) but somehow stop the money actually coming out of the customer account until i am ready for it to come out ie when the item is ready to be shipped?

Paypal has a Subscriptions method of payment, mainly for ongoing payments like magazine subscriptions or similar to direct debit or standing order etc. Check the Paypal site for more information.
