In February I bought an item online and paid for it using PayPal. The item turned out to be fake and the seller didn't want to know (it was on eBay) and refused a refund. I should have twigged before I bought as I now see the word 'business' in his profile isn't even spelled properly, plus he's had bad feedback from someone else who received a fake.
So, I opened a case with PayPal at the end of February and each time I log in the 'expected resolution date' has been pushed back. This has happened about 5 or 6 times now, and on checking this morning I see it's been pushed back yet again to the 5th May now. It just keeps saying that they're "reviewing the sellers information". I've emailed PayPal this morning to see if they can give me an update on how much longer this should take.
Last time I had to dispute a purchase with PayPal, I was refunded more or less straight away. It's only for a a double figure amount, but I don't like the fact I've been done up like a kipper and the seller was rude. Anyone else ever had this happen? Is there an alternative way to pay for things online that's like PayPal so I can get rid of my account? Or do I just use my credit card from now on? Thanks!
