PAYE year end requirments, lost in the maze....

Out postion is this;

We employ one person but they are due to leave the company before the year end.

I'm using HMRC basic tools.

I have completed the P11 and entered the leaving date including all payments. I selected no to filing on line as not in the UK at the moment.

I'm now completely lost on what I need to do and how I extract the required information from basic tools.

There as been no expense or benefits paid to employee or directors and no sick pay.

What do I need to do next ????

Online filing is compulsory. I'm not aware that you need to be in the UK to do it. You do need to enrol with HMRC for PAYE Online if you haven't already done so (this is entirely separate from registering a PAYE scheme with HMRC).

Yes I'm already registered with HMRC On-line (PAYE).

I'm just not sure what information I now need to submit to HMRC firstly informing them that my employee as left that I'll shortly need to file year end, again not sure what I need to fill in ??

it only happens once a year & my memory is a bit pants, but i think once year end date has passed, just choose the option to complete year end (under the employer tab i think) & file online - tools should do it all for you (if you've entered all the relevant info).

I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with the Basic PAYE Tools software itself.

You need to submit a P45 for a leaver. PAYE Tools should have that option.

You need to submit a P35 form plus a P14 for each employee.
