We've used them for 3 years.
Good Points:
1) Parcels left at post office if customer not in (mostly!)
2) Cheap compared with others for UK deliveries
3) Later collections than others (in our area at least)

Bad Points:
1) Absolutely ZERO customer service, not once have I had a call returned or email answered. (They do not have post sales account management for sub £1m accounts, only pre sales.)
2) Not interested in smaller companies (less than 3-400 parcels per day)
3) Un-responsive to complaints
4) On average have a drop & run approach to in-transit damage (to be fair, we have less than 1% damage, but without fail the customer claims to have been told to sign for acceptance, invalidating any later damage claims)
5) Dispite having a 30 day account we still need to make a 30 mile round trip and pay by cheque for imports with VAT due.

For exports other companies blow them out of the water for price and speed of delivery.

Overall, if I could find another courier with a late (3pm or later) pickup, and who came within £1-£2 of PF per unit, I would use them. However, customers love the Post office pick-up (If the driver chooses to use it!) Obviously service will vary depot by depot, we are in a rural area, so have to accept what little we get ;) but the lack of a named contact bothers me.

We use them for imports only and apart from not putting all our parcels through our account I have no complaints.

our delivery driver gave us his mobile number so we can ring him whenever we like if we have a query and the depot know us well too so always a person to speak to.

Also have area manager's direct line so problems always resolved immediately from that level.

If you have any problems, tweet them as they monitor Twitter actively.

Parcel Force are genuinely a little bit more expensive than the other courier firms - however, they do have a good delivery success rate for this reason.

As a rule - they will usually only take on a new customer direct if you have a large volume to offer them.

A number of our customers have complained that they have been putting their prices up recently and so we have gained a lot of new business as a result.

Please PM me if you would like any further information on Parcel Force, or our services.

Cheers,
