Paperboard for packaging

Does anyone know where you can purchase paperboard sheets in A4 or A3 size for packaging?

Want to try some designs and unique packaging styles out first before getting someone to print the boxes up with our logo and colour scheme on.

Try emailing one of the manufacturers, and asking for samples... They were always pretty good at wanting to show off their goods whenever I asked... Try Iggesund (google it), they spring to mind, and send an email with your requirements to the sales team...

It's very odd how you just cannot buy packaging card at all, anywhere.

I can buy paper up to 130gsm but anything above that or paperboard doesn't exist by the looks of it, only packaging companies have it and its looking pretty expensive at £40 per design i only wanted it to hold a few USB sticks at a time.

Well yes but you cannot buy the actual paperboard. There are millions of companies but they want to make the package for me, i want just the paperboard, on its own, preferably in a3 sheets. I've filled out some online forms and then someone phones me and bangs on for 10 minutes about how they can make me lovely packaging for my product, i just want the actual paper.

So far i've only found it on eBay in packs. Everywhere else wants to quote me for fixed dimension die cut boxes

I have just found Newark Group who seem to do the paper in packs though so fingers crossed

How many sheets were you looking to buy and what thickness/weight/type of board? i hold a variety of materials and could supply small quantities of A3 sheets for you to test your designs on. I have had similar issues myself and still do when it comes to small quantities of corrugated sheetboard!
