Hi all

I have worked in a pallet network for many years, i got to know the way pallet network works and lately i was thinking about maybe going independent and try to set up my own pallet network.

I have seen the way pallet networks work these days and to be honest most of them are terrible. The amount of errors and damages are being done every night its unbelievable. I know there is a better way of providing better service to the customers but i can imagine the whole process of setting up pallet network would be very difficult especially finding clients to join as most of them been with current networks for many years.

I just want to know what you guys think and whether its worth to try set up a pallet hub.

Thanks for the answers in advance.

    1) To make it attractive to potential network members and to customers, the physical and electronic processes need to be slick and workable. A whole lot of IT work is required. This costs real money.
    2) It would be essential to be able to offer UK coverage, so network members would need to be recruited (I am sure there are many haulage firms who are not in networks) all over the UK before the offer can be made to customers. This would take some time, will cost money to set up and all without any income
Loads of other issues as well. My point is really that unless you have capital available to risk and can manage without an income, its not viable.
