P87 form submitted to HMRC - nothing back, yet

I submitted a completed P87 form for claiming tax back on mileage just over 4 weeks ago now and I'm yet to hear anything back.

I appreciate 4 weeks isn't particularly long, but how long should I expect to wait for an answer before I chase them?

Their phone system suggests I wait for them to reply by letter and I'm yet to call up and be told of a wait under 30 minutes to speak to someone.

For what it's worth, I submitted a paper copy by recorded delivery as the online form server was down at the time (error code on HMRC site) and I'm claiming for the tax year 13/14.

Four weeks? You might be lucky to get a reply in four months. Seriously.
