Hi everyone,
My name's Charly and I've been working in the UK as a self-employed for the last 5 years.
I am about to move out of the UK to go live in France (where I'm from) and I have a hard time figuring out the best way to handle all the tax-related paperwork.
The two options I've found are either filling a U1 form which basically transfers part of the taxes I payed in the UK to France, or asking for a tax refund.
Thing is, for both of the forms, I need a P45 that is normally given by an employer, which I don't have.
Do anyone knows if there is an equivalent to this P45 I could use? Or if there's another way to fill a U1 or ask for a tax refund? I admit I am a bit lost with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
