P45 Details

Hi,

I am taking on an employee and need to set them up on our PAYE system. They have their P45 and have given me the details over the phone, and will send it in during the week.

Is it OK for me to use the information for PAYE or do i have to wait until i have the physical P45 in my hand.

i've given my accountant an email with the p45 information prior to receiving the actual P45 itself. worked fine.

If it speeds up a process, HMRC will never be too happy to deduct tax quicker
