owed £10k but company insolvent - how can I maximise amount recovered

Hello,

A company that owes me around £10,000 has just gone insolvent and is having a meeting of creditors. I also have to submit the unpaid invoices to an advisory firm.

My question is, is there much chance of getting any of the money involved, and will it help if I seek legal advice or legal representation? The company still appears to be trading - is this normal.

What type of insolvency? Administration, Liquidation.....

Meeting of Creditors Liquidation Notices - Section 98 of the Insolvency Act 1986

Unfortunately, the only thing left to do is lodge your claim with the Liquidator and hope for the best but i wouldn't hold your breathe unless they have assets.

As Big G has said there's little prospect to get anything, unless by some miracle you have a personal guarantee signed by any of the Directors for your debt?
