Overture Keyword tool, wordtracker, keyword discovery are crap!

Right this is a rant about keyword research. I think Overture UK keyword tool is poo (figures over inflated, singular only, site keeps timing out). Wordtracker is not accurate (based on dogpile etc...). Keyword Discovery is poor (trial version).

I'm trying to work out what the majority search for when searching items such as:

g-star t shirts
armani t shirts
hugo boss t shirts

Anyway the important part is the "t shirts" part. Is it:

armani t shirts
armani t-shirts
armani tshirts
armani tees

I personally think "armani t shirts".

We use Wordtracker. Research phrases. Use them. See traffic coming in as a result. Simple.

You might want to also use Google Trends to see what people are looking for.

Use adwords keyword tool and maybe google traffic estimator (by giving astronomic CPC and budget levels).

It is pitty that search engines don't give the correct numbers.
