hi guys just wanting rough idea of what its going to cost me for the following
: Business Council Tax
: licences
: insurance
: water rate ??????

the salon is going to have sunbeds, fish foot spa, hair and nails and poss beauty treatments!!!!!!!!!!

can any one just give me a roungh guide price?????

Business rates depend on location and buildings rateable value, presuming you are in a prime location i'd imagine they could be high hundreds into thousands, mine in a rural location are a mere few hundred a year.

Water - we have a sink and a loo, it costs us £40/year!

Insurance - our liability insurance and general business insurance is £450/yr, i'd imagine with yours being quite high risk (burning etc) it could be considerably higher.

Licences?????

Those are wild stab-in-the-dark based on my own figures for a rural mail order business though!

This would depend on your location! I would contact your local council as they could give you more accurate figures, especially as the new year's council tax statements are due out at the end of this month. So they should have finalised any increases.

if you have the address for premises similar to your ideal location, you can search rateable value here

www.2010.voa.gov.uk/rli/en/basic/compare

and then you multiply rateable value by approximately 40p

I hope you should be aware of this that the business tax and licensing etc. rates differ from country to country or location wise. So if you you tell me the area where you are doing business than it will be much easy for me to guide you.
