Oscommerce - Urgent Help Needed!

Please can someone help me!!!
My developer is away and I've got issues with my online shop.

I have an Oscommerce store and so far it's worked fine.
However today a customer has registered, placed an order and paid on paypal and I can't see what he's ordered!

Basically I've had a paypal confirmation order to show payment has been made but in the Oscommerce Admin Area there is no record of the order (in the pending bit) and I haven't received a confirmation email so I don't have a clue what's been ordered. After this happened I placed a dummy order myself and it worked fine...

Any help much appreciated...

unless you have the login info to gain access to the database we can't see any more than you can see really, and maybe yoru developer ahs that info?

This is normally a paypal IPN problem (Instant Payment Notification).

basically when someone orders something via oscommerce the system doesn't treat the order as "real" until it recieves confirmation from paypal that the payment has been recieved...

I use zencart a lot (which is a spin off from OSC) and there is an option in the admin section to repair the paypal IPN - This will basically show you orders that were recieved and paid for by paypal but where never paid for... (if you see what I mean).

This is a common problem when first installing Paypal IPN, had the facility been tested and previously worked?

It's funny cos I've had orders through paypal before without problem - it only started yesterday. We tested it when I set up the site and it was fine.
However, ot does seem to be when the customer pays on paypal and doesn't wait to be redirected back to my site that the order details are lost.
I will ask my developer to look into this once he's back - I'm not techy myself so I'm not sure exactly of the situation but I will ask him to look into the Paypal IPN.

If you go to your admin side of the site you should see the incomplete transaction which you can complete manually.

all i can say is Ditch osCOMMERCE!!!!

and get CRE Loaded (osCommerce) its a spin off of osCommerce and its the best thing i have seen.
