Opinions on Ebid

Just wandering about what people thought about Ebid and selling stuff on there, more out of interest than with an intention to sell on it in the near future although maybe closer to xmas it could be an option?
Seems very cheap but i am not sure what sort of traffic the site gets, presumably nothing in comparison to ebay.

I have had some items listed for a week or so now and not a lot of interest and no sales, this could however be due to the products (although they sell well on ebay so not sure that is the case).

Ebid get s 1000 s of traffic aday even more with the changes on ebay ebid have just broke there million auctions and are in the line to be the best alternative to ebay at the moment it all depends what you are selling books is an example which are doing really well on there at the moment what you need to do is just take note on what the popular auctions are on the frontpage

Ebid has been going for years, but you would have to list alot of products to see a much of a return

We tried it a few times in the past but got very little interest in products that sold well on eBay, might be better / more popular now but just seemed a little bit too much of 'eBay wannabie'.

eBid runs a poor second to eBay at the moment and I don't envisage that changing anytime soon unfortunately. Can't hurt to list a few of your top selling eBay products as a test though.

a lot of people are moving to ebid now after ebay continue to mess things up - however if the buyers arent following them - probably not any point.

only suggestion i can make is to use them as an additional venue to sell - producing new customers that you can direct to your own website if you have them..

Personally i find ebid expensive final value fees 3% there limited offer for subscriptions from £99.99 to £49.99 and there seller+ account £1.99 for 7 days there are alot of sites which are alot cheaper and better value as for ebay there problems just keep occuring every week

I was going to list my products on there but after checking out some of the sellers on there i struggled to find any with feedback so persumed they don't sell much, they seem to have gone downhill since i last tryed them 3+ years ago.

Looking at the sales on ebid anybody whos got books or retro computer bits and bobs should do well on there as there are alot of books of all kinds been selling at the moment and the retro computer bits and bobs inc the good old sinclairs and the commordores

Same here, tried Ebid and a complete waste of time. I used the same products that I sell well on Ebay and not a single sale with Ebid.

I have read positive things about Ebid auction numbers and traffic, however I get the impression that it is sellers who are purely there to list. I joined a few months ago, had very few views, and have yet to make a sale.

i put alot of my computer stuff on there last year sold a few little items but had alot of non payers for my systems and was costing more in fees ebid were slow in refunding fees bk so have nt listed on there since

Given time and yes some effort Ebid can become what Ebay used to be, fair, cheap and a good place to make some money and of course pick up some bargains, I have signed up and I AM SELLING ON EBID, and the fee's are so fair, long live EBID and down boo with feebay.

Time is what they've definitely had; they've been around for well over 10 years.
