I've migrated to Opencart from Zencart. It is so much better! You can have a professional looking site in a matter of a few days.

The only regret I have is not making the switch sooner.

Ali, Is it possible to configure the cart differently or edit the link to explain the options?

Hi,

Do you mean for designing the site? If so, I did it myself (with the odd bit of help from freelancers).

For hosting, Vidahost. They're great.

I WISH I could do it myself... I couldn't even get the database to install. Stupid stupid technology!

I'm also with Vida. They are extremely professional, although I've got major problems with my website that my current official CubeCart developer didn't know how to solve... so I'm stuck with it now until I can move to OC.

Awww, course you can. I've been doing website stuff for 6 years now and didn't have a clue when I started. just use forums lots and you'll pick up the basics in no time.

Did you ask the guys at vidahost to help with the database? They're amazing for support.

I like OpenCart but as said before the support forums are like nothing else.

Whatever you do DO NOT say a bad thing about their product or its game over for you

OpenCart is a great alternative to Magento and PrestaShop. It had all features you need for successful middle sized store maintenance:

1. it is SEO friendly
2. high speedy
3. support multi-store functionality
4. have convenient control panel
5. nice variety of modules and templates
6. has no limits in the number of products, categories and manufacturers

OpenCart is worth considering if you have basic business requirements and if you want a store up and running quickly and easily.

yes - yo can configure the cost subject to size - its all done when you add the data for product and it corresponds with the shipping settings.
Its time consuming but once set its easy.
