Got a small low-wattage PC and two dual NIC's.

Can anyone recommend me an open source linux package? with the following:-
* Firewall
* Router/NAT
* Content Filtering/Blocking
* Web/Email Virus scanner
* QoS (in particular for VoIP)
* Web admin panel

Many commercial appliances costing thousands can achieve this, however, its for a small office... SOHO appliances exist for some features and a few can be picked up cheaply however require a licence/subscription otherwise turn out to be a brick! They also have quite low speeds.

Have a look at pfsense http://www.pfsense.org/

Its not Linux based, its FreeBSD. Been around for many years, well tried and tested.

It has a number of plugins, for your web filtering check out the dansguardian plugin.

Pfsense is a bit of a learning curve to setup up but once you get your head round it, you should find it meets all your needs.

There's even a sip proxy plugin too that really does the job when it comes to sip clients sat behind NAT.

untangle (already mentioned) that's an open source os that will do what you want but you will find that to get it to do what you want you'll need a plugin and those cost!

i think that's about it.....

The pfSense plugins will NOT cost. You should be able to get everything you need for £0 :)
