The Pitch is a small business competition open to all UK businesses that have been trading for less than 3 years. You can also enter The Pitch if you are pre-trading in a 'ones to watch' category!

Last year I went along to the excellent small business boot camps in London and Manchester as well as the final in mighty mighty Bristol.

The Pitch is more than just about finding one winner, we've evolved the competition so that we hope everyone who enters finds something valuable to take away!

Not that it's all about the winning, but last year we did manage to secure a top 100 spot exclusively for a UKBF member, that meant instant access to one of the bootcamps. This year we are hoping to do the same and get as many members as possible through to the final!

I'm working closely with all the applicants this year so take a look at the site and if you have any questions please let me know. And yes, I'm hugely biased towards forum members so will do what I can to make sure you have all the information you need!

It may seem like a big scary business competition from the vidoes, but that's just some smart editing *blows own trumpet* - it's the friendliest, most supportive, and most worthwhile competition out there

There was actually no mention of what the winner got - is it just recognition? Whilst I see the value of recognition/ networking, it seems like an awful lot of effort.

Hey @crelding - the prize package is here - but as we're quite early in the applications there is plenty more to add once we've confirmed. Should be quite the list when we're done. There are also normally a number of investors at the events and the final and although we don't guarantee investment (it's up to the investors after all), there of course is a great opportunity to talk business.
