Hi,
I help run an online business renting LEGO via www letsgoplay co uk.
We have been asked several times if we can offer gift vouchers that can be given as gifts. On first impression this should be OK but the problem i have is validating an address.
The way it currently works for "normal" customers is they sign up to a Direct Debit payment via Go Cardless, by doing this the address is also validated. This is very important to us as some LEGO sets are very expensive and we do not ask for an upfront deposit.
However if we offer a gift voucher the person is buying it would be purchasing a single item that may be a 1 month or 3 month rental, in addition to this they are buying it for someone else ( i.e. delivered to a different address ). Therefore they would not sign up to a Go Cardless Direct Debit, instead i think we would have to offer a PayPal single payment plus the LEGO set would be sent to someone else other than the person who paid for it.
We would like to offer gift vouchers but we need a way of verifying both the buyers address and also the delivery address, is there a way to do this for an individual, i.e. can not credit check like you would with a business.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
