Online payments for Adult Video on demand

I develop alot of adult sites and have found this one to be by far the cheapest and seem to be quite good.

www.optimalpayments.com

I just developed this site www.xwork.co.uk and has some hardcore adult stuff on it and optimal payments run the payment processing for it

Also another one is allied wallet, search it in google but optimal are cheaper

You need to be very careful about accepting payments in the UK for Adult on demand hardcore videos. A recent ruling involving Liverpool Trading Standards resulted in a website owner being prosecuted and getting a hefty fine. He was an affilliate of Strictly Broadband.

Put simply, the UK laws do not allow anyone in the UK to sell hardcore materials online or offline without a licence as a sex shop and even then only R18 materials can be sold and must be collected. I have been trying to find legal ways around this for over a year now. The minute the money is transacted in the UK or a DVD is placed in the UK postal system, you commit an offence.

Anyone can transact outside of the UK and post DVDs into to UK from abroad which is terribly unfair. So in order to comply with the law, you must have your servers aboroad, your point of sale abroad, your banking systems abroad and also everything to do with your company must be abroad. You cannot even legally act as an affilliate site when operating from within the UK.

I Just thought I would clarify the legal position because most people seem to be unaware of it. Personally I would be happy to work with anyone who can find legal ways around it.

This depends on how you look at it. To be precise, your "Centre of Commerce" needs to be outside the UK. Which means for tax purposes you usually would have your main address outside of the UK. So if you were the Director of a Ltd Company, the company would have its centre of commerce outside of the UK and your salary would be paid in Euros then converted into Sterling by way of Bank transfers. Complicated yes, but I guess if your pockets are deep enough it would be worthwhile.

Essentially though, Steve is correct and you would probably have to be resident for most of the year outside of the UK
