I have just revamped my business including a new website and am looking for an online marketing specialist or some advice on online marketing. My clients are based primarily in china and as i am in the UK you can understand the need for excellent marketing. I want my website on the first page of google, across many social networking sites and anywhere else you can thing of. I also want email marketing.

Is your client's business confined to China or do they deal internationally. Depending on the market, the search engine selection would vary. Also to cater to the local market you would need a Chinese version of the website.

Email marketing is a good idea, but again the selection of database would depend on the target market. I am not a scholar on Chinese market but the social media sphere may be very different to the one we know off. So I would say that some market research should be an essential element of your online marketing plan. Hope this helps.

Hi Robert,

Considering the market you're aiming at I'd be looking at a few things:

• What kind of content will you be producing? Your market seems ideal for educational / informative articles and a slightly more relaxed take on the same in a blog
• Topics might include study in the UK, what to expect when you arrive, a simple explanation of the process, the Chinese community in the UK ... use both written content and video and really pack your site full to the brim with useful content that actually helps your target market
• That kind of content will help position you as a trusted resource
• That kind of content should also help with the seo and can also be promoted via social media
• I'd suggest mixing in some simple video testimonials of clients you've successfully helped - probably in Chinese - which you can promote online, via youtube and appropriate social media
• You should of course be staking out ground in social media sites - but also consider content driven places like squidoo, hubpages and knol
• Consider what and how much content should be delivered in Chinese
• Finally, you'll want a kick-ass referral program in place
