Can anyone recommend a company that can offer a reliable refer a friend tracking solution? It needs to be quite easy and simple to set-up and accurate. It would be need to track new players on a site and track their purchases for a revenue share. I would need them to set it up for us rather than just provide the software.

There are no really 100% way because most rely on sign in or code.

Definitely the only way is sign in code.
If you are using referral tracking you may loose out if person goes off line and returns without the link provided.

I think that I will hand out the promo code to players who would like to refer friends etc then and track it through the CMS - thanks for the advice.

That makes so little sense I'd have assumed it was spam if you didn't already have 50+ posts.

If you can run your own affiliate program, you can use something like Post Affiliate Pro. This has the major advantage of letting people link with normal looking links, which benefit you seo wise. Run your affiliate program through a network or agency and you get zero link benefits from it.
