Does anyone know if there are and legal requirements to hold any qualifications to set up as an estate agent, specifically as an online agent?

Yes the Qualification of common sense.

Yes there certainly are some very stringent requirements.........

A cheap shiny suit
An Audi A3
Slick hair
Small black beady eyes and a fin sticking out of your back!!

There must have been in excess of 10,000+ estate agents that have closed since the credit crunch. Time for a new twist on the old method of selling property.

Agreed, and im hoping ive come up with that. Just needs lots of research and development hence the initial survey.

Good luck. I have worked on a business model to put the selling of houses back into the hands of the seller.

It's on hold at the moment, mainly due to web developers and their whacky off the wall premiership style pricing.

None but online? Good luck competing with Right Move.

Many online estate agencies have come (and gone). The traditional estate agents continue to survive.

If your house isn't on Right Move it won't be seen.

Which part? The mad fees for a website or the fact the developers didn't really listen to what I wanted - the guy paying the bill.
