Good afternoon,

There are more and more websites that are inking, making embroidery on the items you want and they also deliver for you. Do you know how good the quality of the products are and the delivery time? If what they promise is worth it? Did anyone try them?

Thank you very much,
Ana

Probably best off seeing if you can get a sample from 10-20 places to check for the quality. I've heard some dodgy stories about the main companies that do it like off centre printing and poor quality.

Try speaking with Icon Printing Ltd, they produce merch for a youtuber I follow and it looks quality, not sure on pricing but people will pay more for better quality clothes in my opinion.

Well could first start by asking them what make of garments they are supplying but of course before this you need to have a good knowledge of whats out there and availble in the market place. Do you want them printing on cheap Gilden or AS Colour as an example, do your research

I want good quality and I am interested in embroidery and ink. To have both options. I know there are some companies out there that will also deliver for you, so you don't need to have a stock in the house or a big investment. I can order a sample but I am not sure the same quality will go out. They limit you to the cut and the colours they have. Thank you very much.

Experience has taught me that you generally receive what you pay for, but it's crucial to empower yourself with knowledge about the material and weight you desire for your garments. Some suppliers offer a luxury range, which is pricier but of superior quality. Identify the brands they carry, research each one, and communicate your preferences to the supplier. Starting with samples is often a wise approach.

As I have already indicated you first need to know what product / garment you want to use, what price range you want to be aiming for. Printers I know offer a wide range of possible garments for customers helping them to build the brand their clients want. There’s absolutely no reason for them to be printing / supplying anything other than what’s been agreed.

To be blunt It seems to me you have very little knowledge of the garment / fashion business and have done very little homework on the garments available Out there. What type of garments are you looking at, what fabric mix are you looking at, what weight of garment are you looking at, what type of embroidery are you looking at.

I know what I want and I have limited information of what the trades can provide. A lot of the sites have a limited range of items and the material is pre selected. And I didn't find yet the right item for me. I am willing to be flexible because I don't have the financial meaning to have my own factory and make everything as I want. I want 100% cotton, but good quality cotton, that is thicker and doesn't allow the shape of the garment to be changed after a few washes. I want the embroideries to be around a full open hand, sometimes bigger sometimes smaller, depends on the theme. I don't look at the weight because I care about the quality and I am looking for the trade to do the shipping, not myself. I want to find a trade that helps me focus on the creative and sale side, while they help me make my products and ship them. I want to be able to trust them that what they promise they will deliver, and not for just a few times.

You need to find / source the garments you are happy to sell and that support your brand. You are I would suggest obviously looking at the wrong printers any printer worth his salt will be able to source & supply the garments you want.

What’s your business plan say on where you are finding your customers

Take a look at just one supplier that a printer may use to source their garments, will give you a good idea of whats available and whats suits your brand:

There are many companies that convert your design into a embroidery design that basically all commercial embroidery machines can use. the company will require a rough guide to the material intended to be used as you can have different stitches for say fine materials like shirts and blouses compared with heavy duty workwear, it is easy to convert one to the other by the converter once the design has been converted. Then with the relevant stitch count you can get quotes from the companies who will embroider your items

    Hi Ana,

As you guess, quality, consistency and price vary a lot. It can be risky to give specific recommendations, but having read all your messages here I'm very confident in recommending you speak to SP Workwear. They do both the embroidery and print in-house with their own equipment. They've invested in the latest, fastest embroidery and print machines. I know, because I like to visit and check suppliers because, like you say, it's hard to tell the difference from a website. I've used this company for almost five years after having variable experiences with other companies and I can honestly say they've never made an error. In fact they've made recommendations and pointed out potential issues with orders I've placed before proceeding.

I was going to post a link, but it's not allowed. I'm not self-promoting so thought a link would be useful, but I guess it gets abused. So google SP Workwear near Maidenhead, UK. Or have a guess at the web address in the UK:)
