Hi All,

I'm hoping someone can help me out this one as I've been trawling the web for hours to no avail. Basically, here is what I am wanting to do:

I have a property in Turkey where the substance 'Ephedrine' (a performance enhancer and weight loss aid is legal.

I would like to set up a website in Turkey using a Turkish host, Turkish bank account and use an automated Turkish checkout.

The website would sell ephedrine, amongst other weightloss, product's and be ran as an operation from Turkey however my main customer base would be the UK. I the UK ephedrine is a 'schedule IV' prescription med.

My question is is that as all the transactions are essentially in Turkey would I be breaking any laws?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks
Mark

Id imagine you would probably need some form of licence to 'export' ephidrine into the UK as it can only be sold by a registered pharmacist in a pharmacy in a small amount, if it were strictly legal to 'export' it into the UK what would be the point of having the rule?

There are hudereds and thousands of sites offering ephadrine already in existance, they are often shut down by someone, presumably who ever controlls the import of medicine into the UK and they reopen as different sites so im guessing again, its not strictly legal.

Maybe you should contact the general medical council for a definate answer either way.

I am Pharmacist , living and working in Poland and I also consider selling medicines over internet , do you meet any problems with entering medicines to UK? Does UK law allow medicines to be carried out via post or air mail from other country?
