Online Banner-Ad Services

I'm looking to create a banner ad, and have come across several online services. They generally work like this:

• you fill in a form with all your requirements
• they get to work and contact you with a 1st draft in x number of days
• you can request as many amendments as you want until completely happy
• you pay up and get your banner ad

Has anybody used a service such as this, and would you recommend it?

Yes, no and yes.

It's sort of like how long's a piece of string.

if you want a banner, there are lots of places you can go. 'Specialists', web/graphic designers etc etc.

As long as you're comfortable with what you've seen by way of examples and you're happy with the price, then yes, go for it.

what are you trying to achieve with online banner ads? where do you plan on placing it?

the service is pretty typical, personally i wouldn't produce this way

we use a similar situation wher we have many many designs done for our clients, so this system can work but if it seems cheaper i may be far east so be careful how you manage them remotely. Also as previous what are you trying to achieve with them, If you are using display on Google adsense sites dont forget to get the banners built in all sizes that are supported.
