we have turnover around 20k this year and all invoice I make in sage

At the end of the day, with things like this you often get what you pay for.

So a firm might be quite cheap and you think you are saving a packet over those that charge a lot more; but what happens if the cheap firm are late submitting your accounts, or tax return, or other documents and you end up with fines from HMRC, etc.? It's you that will be liable, not the accountancy firm, and you could end up paying much more in fines, that you would have done in accountant's fees.

We didn't go to the cheapest person when we set up, we went to one that was recommended to us by several people we knew.

ALWAYS make sure they're qualified too. Anybody can call themselves an accountant and I've seen some real clowns out there giving some dangerous "advice".

I asked the question out of genuine interest I think you post a lot of very helpful and useful tips, and Arithmo looks super software, but maybe you should have just mentioned you were connected in recommending your own firm.
