Hi, I have my own Ltd company of which i'm the sole director and shareholder. I'll be taking on my first employee in September and I'm looking for a reputable source of employment contracts, ideally on line?

Any recommendations or should I use a solicitor instead?

Thanks

I would recommend using a professional to draft a contract to suit your particular industry rather than using an off the shelf one(but I have a biased opinion as I offer an employment law & HR service).

There is of course nothing wrong with using a standard template, if you know how to adapt it to suit your needs. However by using someone to draft it on your behalf you can cover more possibilities that a template contract is unlikely to cover and you can ensure the terms are fully binding e.g. deductions from wages, restrictive covenants etc.

If you do need a quote for drawing up a contract then please feel free to drop me a pm, and i would be happy to assist.
