Am i legally allowed to sell a customers goods if they do not pay their bill? I have repaired a laptop about 3 month ago and have been chasing them for payment to which i keep getting fobbed off with excuses now i don't even get an answer from her.

Any info would be good.

Do you have any terms and conditions of your service which allow you to sell uncollected items? If not, with respect you should!

Absent specific terms, you do have rights under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977. See s.12 and sched.1 which sets out the procedure for giving a formal written notice. You will first have to give a notice requiring payment and collection of the goods. Then another notice of intention to sell. See:

If you don't have the address, there may be an alternative.
