Note machine name?

There are a couple of different versions available ... all do the same thing some have different levels of security than others though...

One name, as mentioned is an Under-counter note safe, along with drop boxes which are generally the same thing, opens with a key and allows staff to quickly empty their tills with notes, generally 20's and 10's

The other name is a raid deposit safe. These are generally again for 10's, 20's although you can dispense fivers... they usually have an electronic timer lock on them, which will not open until the set time that they've been set too and they also give a timed window of access.

We installed 50 of them a couple of years ago for the GMP free of charge to shops around Manchester.

Then you also have the Pneumatic Tube systems at some stores - fill a tube full of notes and send it off packing in the air duct tube... old and somewhat crude but it works, and appears to be making a comeback in some stores...

I remember watching those things as a kid back in the 50s - I loved them! Esp. the rail-based systems that scooted across the ceilings! Magic stuff!

CounterCache, I think, was what it was called when I was in store.
