Hi All,

I am looking to accept credit and debit cards via our website. However I am a bit lost in this at the minute.

Now Nochex looks particularly appealing as there are no monthly fees! :)

But does anyone have any input on this? I need a virtual terminal which seems to be a problem with Nochex ATM. Hmmmm.

With regards a 'virtual terminal', not entirely sure what you mean...

By 'virtual', I'm assuming you mean online... and if that's the case then surely you just mean an order and checkout process...? If so, shouldn't you have that already or planned for in your build?

In my opinion the optimal setup is a merchant account (with SagePay or another PSP) and Paypal.

Mike, a virtual terminal is to process 'customer not present' transactions online, usually for telephone orders. You need a specific setup for this.

    Hi kylelnsn.

    Thank you for considering Nochex!:)

When you say VT I am assuming card present rather than MOTO (card not present)? :|

Whether you eventually decide to set-up an account with Nochex (which would be great value for accepting credit and debit cards via your website!), I would certainly fill in an application for a Nochex account. Our Support staff will discuss your requirements with you and point you in the right direction - even if that is to one of our competitors.

I do hope that is helpful to you.

    Kind regards,
    - Peter (I work for Nochex)

I got a good service with HSBC.
I do have virtual terminal facility but never use them. I just take payment online.
I looked into the FSB option, but this was better for me.
    I also have Paypal.

It seems to me good practice to have two methods after what I have read about Paypal sometimes locking the account irrationally. But I have not had that problem with them.

It also depends on your customers. A lot pf people use and feel comfortable with Paypal.
