Next step!

I've been manufacturing and selling items on eBay for the last 3 months. I want increase my sales.

I assume a website would be the next step, but I also want to start selling my items at wholesale, direct to the relevant shops.

I also want to find people that can distribute my products in other countries.

How should I go about this and approach people?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes definitely a website as your next step. I'm afraid I don't know much about sports cameras but if you're looking to sell on the UK and get your product known, perhaps a flash sales site would help to elevate your profile.
Have you thought about listing yourself as a manufacturer on Alibaba to encourage international businesses to buy from you? I understand they have a UK manufacturers section.

Smudge, we can go about it step-by-step:

1. Set-up your own website to promote your product.
2. Use social media, link your website to it, and create a network of interested buyers.
3. Give shops and stores a business call or visit them personally to advertise your business.
4. Use your social network to meet potential distributors.

Hi Smudge,

It sounds great you're expanding! A web presence would certainly be a good idea and necessary for direct sales as it's the first thing most people will look at. An online shop selling to customers direct will take time to grow, so don't expect huge sales overnight. I would keep selling on ebay and Amazon as well.

Social Media is a good idea, especially LinkedIn for your direct sales. It can be a great source of contacts and often people search for things on LinkedIn.

Hope this is helpful, get in touch if you've got any questions.

A nice looking website, making social media connections and contacting other distributors/manufacturers are all great places to start.

Not knowing much about the sports camera industry, are there also trade shows/events where you might be able to make contact with the people and businesses who can help you?
