newbie relly needing some help please

    hi all im new on here and could really do with some help.please stay with me its a little bit of a long one.
    a family member started a buisness which went belly up and left him bankrupt so he opened the buisness under a differant name using another family members name with there permission,that also went belly up leaving them bankrupt as well now i think and have good reason to believe they have opened the buisness under my name with out my permission and forging my signiture which im understandably worried about.
    my question is where can i go or who can i see to find out if they have put my name down as a company director and if so how do i get it removed?
    any help will be gratefully appreciated

    this is not a wind up by any means its very serious i want to leave the police to a last resort but want to find out for now if i am down as a director of the company my family do care about me just the one member who doesnt care about any body but him self but dont understand how i dont give a rats arse about my family?????

    OP - in view of Chris's excellent thought, I really don't see you have a choice... got to be reported to the police as well as companies house etc

    Legal bods in their nest might know the right people to contact - unless some smart members can assist from here?...

    just had an idea as we all knew he had gone bank rupt and also bankrupt another member who is to old and to fragile to do anything were as im a 31 yr old scaffolder i consider my self in my prime so i wont sit back till its sorted thanks for all your help guys its all taken on board

    ive been in touch with companies house see if they can shed any help just waiting for an email back ill keep you up to date though geoff
