I'm starting up my new business and looking to find a reputable wholesaler to supply me with a small amount of diffsers to sell on Amazon. Can anyone recommend a good wholesaler who has experience like this.? I'm a newbie to the retail business and need to know how it all works. So I can do things correctly.
Is it a good way to use the local suppliers or better to find a Chinese manufactory?
Any advice will be great. Thanks very much.

Hello & Welcome to forums!

If you plan on selling on Amazon, forget about local wholesalers. In 99% of cases, their prices simply won't be competitive and you won't be able to make a profit on Amazon.

The whole Amazon FBA game is about importing goods directly from China, in bulk. That's the only way to make this work in the long term and build a decent business. There are other models too, like manufacturing your own goods, but for most people, importing from China is the way to go.

Happy to answer any more specific questions and feel free to check out my blog where I have hundreds of posts about selling on Amazon, importing, branding and more.

and Good Luck! :)

Well, similar questions like yours are a lot on the forum. you can serach for some advices.
I think it is depends on what kind of products do you want to sell.
As a chinese I will say if you don't buy big quantity, you may not get a very competitave price from manufactory.
1, you'd better be familiar with the products / market you will sell, then you get the workable price when negotiating with the suppliers.
2, plus the freight-charges, and check if price available for your markets.
3,don't forget to get some samples from factory or supplier if available. Don't worry abt the International Express fee for sending samples, which really worth it and reduce your risk. Or else, you don't know what quality you will get until bulks come. Reduce your risky.
4, most of Chinese suppliers are honest and friendly as per my experiences. Before I was doing Internatioal trading in textiles line. However, keep your eyes big, fake products also exist expecially for electronic products.
5, choose safe payment.
Good luck, man!

And, there is one more point. If you get products from China and sell on Amazon. I mean after a while you get familiar with your supplier. The supplier even can printing the FBA labels and stick on the carton for you, and you just find a realiable forwarder and ship the goods out. Better find the logistics in China which will much more cheaper then finding in your local.

There are multiple companies supplying diffusers in the UK - usually low minimum orders.

The question is, can you sell that brand on amazon? Talk it over with the supplier.
Some will not supply to amazon sellers, try selling their stuff and they get amazon to shut down your account.

Some will allow it. As to whom, that's where you do your own research.

Ordering from China, expect to make a larger order, more hassle dealing with problems and large delivery time.
Until you know what sells, what doesn't sell, better to stick to smaller quantities and quick delivery - ie UK suppliers.

Oh and with amazon, expect it to take a few weeks after the sale to receive your share of the money. That's normal for amazon sellers these days.
