    Hi I am new on here so thought it was polite to introduce myself.

    I work as a freelance designer based from home. I started working for myself in March and have just started networking as I occassionaly miss alot of the office banter as it can be quiet at times.

    I am based in the Manchester area so heads up to anybody on here from Manchester:0). (Yes I am a Manchester United supporter ;) this may not get me any new friends!!!)

    Anyway hello all hope I can offer some support and recieve some in return.

    Welcome to UKBF, hope all goes well with your business. I see you pride yourself on being unique, as evidenced from being a United fan from Manchester and not Devon ;-)

    How do you get your freelance work then? Is it through contacts or do you advertise, blog etc? Have you tried elance and the other websites?

    Just started to get a steady stream now and its been a mixture of all really - also with a little perseverance and blind faith :0) Looked at elance but not tried it yet.
