We are in need of updating our dated website. We have had an overhaul pf products and just had some nice new professional shots taken. So were looking for a complete website redesign. Were running opencart 1.0 so need to upgrade this also. If anyone has any recommendations that would be great!
I cannot post links yet but if you search for Yogi Hair you will find our site (electrical hair products)

Hello I googled it, nice products you've got there. What CMS are you using on your website? Do you wish to stick to Opencart or migrate to other eCommerce solution?

This is important because if you're thinking of a complete redesign then you might probably want to switch to something else? I would suggest to change the color scheme of the website, to make it more light/vibrant as well as opt for catchy design frameworks like Bootstrap, they might be useful in case you want to attract more younger audiences who prefer using mobile gadgets more. You might want to make your resource as responsive as possible...

Agree with the above - are you set on staying with opencart? That is the first decision to make.
Before you make decisions about the design / layout of the site I would stress the importance of planning the structure of your new website, paying special care to the different journeys that different types of users will take on your site. This can depend on whether they are coming from different sources (adwords, organic search, amazon/ebay customers, seen your products in store etc) / looking at your site for different reasons.

Hi, thanks for all your replies. Yes we want to stick with opencart as the 'back office' part of the site. but move to v2.0. For the redesign, we have some pro images being cleaned up as we speak ready for the new site. So we are looking for a creative redesign + opencart 2 upgrade. We need to get atway from the darkness of the current site. Looking around at our competitors like Ghd,Cloud 9 and T3 Micro this is the look we need.
