Hi guys

A bookkeeper by trade, I'm very possibly about to delve into pastures new by setting up with a friend as an 'installer' under the Green Deal.

Whilst there's still plenty to put in place, deciding upon a name is something we need to address immediately - yet neither of us are particularly creative!

If at all possible we would like to use words such as green / deal / eco / energy / project / solution etc. My would be partner would also quite like the world action in there too to link into his current business but I'm not so fussed ;)

I must have stuck a million different variations into 123reg already and they're all taken - very annoying!!

So, I'm calling on you creative genius' out there - HELP!!

Thanks,

Kevin

I'm afraid so. If you like I'll check through the catalogue and see what I've got tomorrow that we don't really want. The days of squatting on domains in the hope of making mega bucks are long gone.

Like roibot says, don't post up good domain ideas online before you register them. Someone like me will be in there like a shot - only takes about 10 seconds to do.

And also whoever you use, read the small print.

Nominet charges registrars, people like 123-reg and fasthosts and my company £5 to register a uk domain for 2 years. .com domains cost about $6 per year.

If someone is selling domains for less than this then there is a gotcha in the small print. Guaranteed.

Hi Kevin,

Take a look at these websites.

http://www.namestation.com/ has a Domain Name Generator that allows you to search for specific words and it combines them with related words to find you an available domain. Once you've found one you want, you can register it anywhere. I've used it quite a few times and found it very useful.

If you can't find anything on the above link, try https://auctions.godaddy.com/ There may be a low cost domain that you like.

Well, this didn't exactly go as planned! Ha.

Graham, if you so get a moment that would be great. As for the rest of you, feel free to PM me any ideas that come to you!! ;)

Sorry - the only two I have free that are really relevant are greenplanetsolar.co.uk and greenplaneteco.co.uk

You can have them for £15 each if you like them or £20 for the pair.
