I don't think the title tag is measured by characters but by width so pixel length - and I think a good/well thought out value proposition like others mentioned will do a world of good.

I think some forget CTR and Click Backs are ranking factors so it's not all about trying to squeeze as many keywords into the title as possible - I think Ali mentioned earlier in the thread about not using the back button but closing the window instead. I tend to click though a few of the pages as well and sometimes leave the tab open for a long time on site.

I'll throw this into the mix as well - increase Google author rank, should help out with on-site blogging, guest blogging and most content syndication - infographics etc when your looking for better rankings. I'm sure some will have something to say about that assumption.

Just my two cents, but i thought RSS was dead? Mainly due to the end of google reader. I thought it was only used for postcast syndication and the like.

Rss still have importance , i usually create descriptions of my feeds to let the user know what each feed is about and Putting just enough teaser content to peak the users attention but not enough to summarize the content.

I'm always worried about duplicate content with RSS feeds. Isn't that something which Google frowns upon?
