Primo Seal Europe

Hey guys, just launching a new product into Europe aimed towards protecting electronics against water, dirt, or scratches.

I am wondering if anyone has any input in this market place, and can suggest any clever marketing strategies/ online resellers/ sites i could approach.

Product is called Primo Seal can be viewed on my website. primosealeurope.com

Any input/ suggestions appreciated.

Launches April 2015....

Ethical PR has some great advice. I'd also ad that doing a bunch of Youtube videos on how well the product actually works is huge. If you do these videos in a crazy fun way, you might go viral. Then you'll be in good shape. Also I'd recommend getting on Dragon's Den, if it's still on. Products like yours do a great job on Shark Tank. ( Yes, the US seems to steal almost every British Show)

Thanks guys, appreciate the input. :)

This is the sort of stuff i am doing... so feel in goods stead.
I am going to use Amazon, Ebay, Play.com and maybe a couple other online sellers.
Does anyone have any experience with other online market places? Good blogging sites?

Thanks!

Twitter can be very effective if you wanted an example of a direct way to sell or advertise...

Having checked your site I'm hit with an Ipad,

Simply searching for key words such as "dropped my ipad" or "spilt" and "Ipad"
You'll find so many people damaging products everyday, from there you can manually target users to promote your product.

Dependant on who you're targeting, sometimes this could be more of a hindrance than anything, but too teenagers it's very effective!

.

I am at a bit of a loss to understand why anyone would want to pay £ 40 for this,
when they can buy a small can of WD-40 from Poundland ...for £ 1
... which will do exactly the same job.

The scratch resistance claim is also bullshit.

If something is going to scratch your iphone, eg. dropping it on the pavement,
then a one micron thick layer of spray-on substance is not going to protect it from being scratched.

You absolutely MUST exhibit at all the leading electronics fairs - CeBIT, Photokina, Funkausstellung, etc. and prior to those exhibitions, you MUST write to all the other exhibitors telling them of your presence.

You will need to get your stuff in with the various national wholesalers. Selling a few off your website may be a reasonable start, but you need to be scaling up and getting numbers so that you can shift them at somewhere between £5 and £10 a can, to retail at £30. I would be looking to do a deal with one of the major wholesalers right now, so that you have some presence at those fairs on their stands.

Davie, are you saying people should start treating their electronics with WD-40? lol come on...

Scratches... and smashes are two totally different things.... but i do get that the Scratch resistance is for the likes of coins in the pocket/ keys etc, which happens much more regularly than you think.

Other people, appreciate the input and feedback :)
