New Payment gateway solution

Guys,

I don't know whether my approximation is practical or not. I have got a Payment gateway software which can be easily customized and altered to the needs of everyone. But I'm a individual and doesn't know how to take this to the next level (Company registration, bank regulations etc... ). What are the basic procedures that we need to follow to set up a Payment gateway.
