Hi,

I've just joined this forum with a view to resolving some legalities of an upcoming business venture that I am considering and to hopefully contribute on subjects I am more familiar with where possible.

My background. I'm a 56yr old designer engineer who runs a UK product design consultancy with a friend. We were established in 1998 and have been reasonably successful over the years. The Covid pandemic has caused some business downturn but things are looking up again with lots of new enquiries taking shape again.

I initially want to pick some brains about a possible joint venture to create a new company and products with other investors; but where our share of the investment is our expertise and input into the design rather than an input of finance.

What is the best forum on here to start of this discussion?

Hi Gary, What do you need the investment for - you have lots of new enquiries, so for expanding to support the demand? Which county are you in?

Hi, I'm in the UK. Currently we sell hours, so we're thinking about a retirement income from a product that we can design and sell. I have some contacts who are interested in investing that would be good to have on board due to their business connections. I want to understand the legalities of entering into a new venture with us supplying the hours to design it and others investing money for their share.
