A new solution for middlemen who need to pay their supplier before being paid by their client is being launched.
Funding the gap is a real headache for middlemen. They have few ways to leverage the payment from their client, the buyer, to pay their supplier, and often have to arrange expensive and risky interim funding.
The new solution addresses the problem through use of escrow, which is beginning to become mainstream.
The advantage to the middleman's supplier is that payment is made and guaranteed through escrow before the transaction starts, so that the supplier is certain of getting paid 100% in full. The supplier is happy.
The advantage to the middleman's client is that the client is guaranteed to get exactly the goods or services they were promised, or their money back - one heck of a guarantee, and a significant marketing tool for the middleman.
And for the first time, the middleman has no financing or funding requirement, as the buyers payment is effectively used to pay the seller.
The cost of the service to the middleman will be only 1% of the supplier's cost.
We are looking to market the new product, and are looking for ideas where to market and advertise.
At this stage, we are looking for just four or five transactions (up to £200,000) to live fine-tune the product, so we don't yet wish to obtain significant volume or demand which we will have to turn away.
Would be interested to learn where we can target/market/advertise such middlemen ?
[Note: There are two types of middlemen.
Those that are paid a fee of commission for connecting a buyer and seller directly.
And those that buy from the supplier and sell on their own account to the client buyer (normally so the client cannot learn of the seller's price and/or identity).
It is the latter type of middleman that we are referring to in this post].
