I haven't participated on these forums for ages - I do miss the arguments! - but I got the email about the new forum, so I thought I'd check it out.
Very well done on the migration, especially the urls and redirecting old style forum urls to the new style urls, so that old links to forum posts/threads still work. (it might be worth doing this too in the blog urls).
Although I haven't participated for a while, only a week or so ago I emailed a colleague a link to an old thread (old style url) and it's nice to know those old url style links still work (and get redirected to the new urls). It's also nice to know that with all of my old posts where I cross-referenced other posts (so I didn't have to repeat myself), those old links still work too (which means my old posts still make sense, kind of).
