Setting up my second business and have 2 ideas for domain names and just thought that I would seek some feedback from you lot. I know** that both are not SEO friendly BUT i have 2 amazing branding strategies for both.

YellowMouseDesigns OR PinkDragonDesigns

I have already got briefs for both names and have had mixed feedback on both names, I have a favourite in mind but just thought I would see what all you think :)

cheers Guys

Thats the thing, when clients come to me I can come up with loads. When its for my own business things get harder as I am always thinking of would the brand work. For some reason I want to incorporate an animal and a coulor to create a wicked brand.

Tell me about it! Before I came up with mine, I tried LOADS! For some reason I wanted indigo in mine, I really wanted indigo yeti but alas, it was taken! lol

It was ok finding names but finding the corresponding domains was a nightmare

Someone is designing under the name bluebadgerdesign but its a @hotmail acount so does this count ?

I really Like BlueBadgerDesign

Well I have seen their work! And believe me, I don't think they will be trading long! lol

As for does it count? Well it all depends really! they could force you (within 12 months) to cease using the name if they can prove they have been using it in the months leading up to you registering it!

But to be honest, this person has NO company (by the looks of it) and hasn't even bothered to register the domain! I doubt very much you would have a problem.

Mmmh Gouing to have a think tonight If I could market BlueBadgerDesign or if it is indeed back to the drawing board. Or maybe YellowMouse it is:

I was going to have a big cartoon mouse with loads of personality and somthign clients will remember, with the text Yellow Mouse in a cheese font ;)

At the end of the day mate, I would think very hard, as you know all too well, this will be with you for a long time hopefully :) And as you also know you need to pick a name you can market! Also think about whether you can design a good enough logo (if you have one) :)

All this you already know but worth mentioning mate :)

if you pick BlueBadgerDesigns, that'll be £32+vat you owe me! lol ;)

I will email them and see if they have any plans to register just too be nice...I will do it from my other business account so it all looks very professional.

Could be a mistake mate! He could see it as an oppotunity to register it and charge you a fortune! OR... he could say no, you go ahead and then in 6 months make a claim against you.

He's in manchester and to be honest, it looks like a hobby rather than a business. His work is terrible! lol

He would not have a case, Will simply keep all communications between us. I dont want to register everything , Create a brand etc for him to then say "Wait an Effin minute".....As his designs go..Yeh a little hobbyish ;)

Ok mate, I just don't want him to try an stiff you! But worth a go I guess.

Why not stick to Bluebadger.co.uk?
