I've just implemented a new chat service on our sites and I'm quite impressed with it. Really easy to install and work and no need to download any software so can be used on any computer. Far less complicated than Boldchat which I kept having problems with.

Edit: Should have said "new to me" - it's probably been around for years !

Hey guys, am looking to implement this also.....it says that I need to copy and paste some html coding on each page; I've used a Weebly site as it's so easy, but not sure how to do this. Can either of you advise please?

yes, if you sign up for free with zopim and then go to the dashboard and click the Widget button (under settings) there is some code to copy to the header of each page.

so you could copy it just before the </head> tag on each page.

if you have lots of pages, you could add the code to a separate .js file instead and then include the .js file in your header so you could easily remove zopim from all your pages (if you ever wanted to) by editing one .js file instead of manually editing every page.

Hmm, I am liking this little gadget!

Unlike Statcounter which I use a lot, or Google Analytics, you can see whether a visitor is still on your site.

The push chat which I have never used because I hate it when I'm browsing and the chat window pops up also has its uses:

Just had a visitor from Denmark. Looks at product and then goes to the carriage page. Once I'd seen they were still on site but had been there for 2 minutes I pushed a simple chat - "To check carriage, add to cart, choose your country and update. The carriage will be shown". That's exactly what they did and went on to complete the order.

I can see I'll end up paying when my 14 days is over.

Well I'm finished with the 14 day free trial. Really not much has changed. You can now only have one agent and one chat at a time and the chat bubble can no longer be made to disappear - it just shows "Offline" or "Away". Everything else still seems to be available including the push chat. I'm impressed. I would say the little gadget has been responsible for half a dozen orders over the last two weeks.
