Hi Steve,

Wish I could say but this is a Start-up venture and will grow once we have the ground work sorted.
Most of the components, case, led and graphic content is well in hand what is missing is the
paint finishing, assembly and mail order distribution contribution. The market is the affluent
Home Owner aspiring to bring to their front door a Personalised appreciation of Art, so quantities could be substantial once the design media starts to promote the concept.

As the numbers are initially small then it might be wise to do this yourself to start with. This will give you some idea of the time the process takes which may be useful when negotiating.

The sort of company you will need to work with will depend to a great extent on the quantities, it is a very different process and challenge to produce and distribute 10 per month as opposed to 100,000 per month and different companies may be needed.

For your potential supplier there will e a cost of set up, accepting your goods in, setting up a production line, closing the line down and returning the goods to store. This may remain the same if they are doing 1 or 1000 units.

there are so many variables you will need to give your potential suppliers some idea of volumes for example you could ask for different price breaks for runs of 10/100/1000/5000 units.

    Hi Roy,

Thank you for your reply. I was unaware it was a start-up, however, this is not such a problem, and understand you are unaware of quantities at present.

In my opinion, it would be good to be involved at the start, understanding exactly what work will be required per unit and how the process can be accelerated as the quantities grow, and also have an understanding of your potential market.

This should give initial costings/estimates for quantity price breaks which will help you with pricing.

The project is not difficult if this is planned correctly.

Hope this helps and please let me know if I can help further.

    Regards

    Steve.

    Hi Steve

It's good to see that I am receiving some interest. The fact of the matter is that I have been around
the Interior and Architectural design field for over 50 years. I had my own Clock design and manufacturing company in London way back in the 80's with sales throughout the UK, Europe and
North America. In 2017 I retired to the New Forrest but still retained a keen interest in all things design.
Creating the current Porch project has been a very interesting journey and I believe could with the
right support become the Brand leader in it's field. As I no longer have the stamina of yester years to give the project 100% deliberation I wish to concentrate on offering my design and marketing expertise. So the answer is to find a company who can supply the nuts and bolts of setting up the assembly and distribution process designed to grow with demand.
The work involved is light and simple and a number of working prototype have been produced and a final sample is now ready to be used for marketing.
What I am looking for is enthusiasm from a company who would welcome the challenge to help me bring the project to market. I am more than happy to provide further information as long as it
    protects my design authority.
