"Amazon will visit your storehouse onsite and help you improve many parameters like the configuration and layout, methods for storing your inventory, methods for picking and packaging your products, order prioritizing, et cetera. "

Or in my case, where the dining table should be moved to, how far away the tea bags should be & whether it's possible to have the family TV in full view of my packing position ;-)

they've possibly misjudged just how many of their FBA sellers are just like me.

Doesn't work for me I'm afraid, I'm being my usual cynical self...

They keep pestering us to sign up for SFP, but it's simply not cost effective. Having thought about it a little more though, it's quite evident that Amazon are creaking at the seams under the weight of the current FBA operation, (you only have to look at the delays in processing deliveries etc to see that,) and are looking at ways of alleviating the problem, hence SFP and FBA Onsite.

So, the easiest way for them to alleviate the pressure is to get the 3P merchants to fulfil themselves via SFP and FBA Onsite, and the only 3P merchants who could do this domestically, are those that are based in the host marketplace. So, what I see happening, is that a fair few of the UK based 3P merchants will sign up for SFP thus releasing capacity in the Amazon fulfilment centres, which will of course be taken up by the swathes of Chinese companies that are currently destroying both Amazon and their domestic 3P merchants.

Another attempt at placing another nail in the coffin of British retailers.

Ongoing, but always worse in the winter.

As an example, we sent five boxes to BHX2 on the 22nd June. Started receiving at the end of last week, by Monday they had only booked in 90 pieces. As of just now, that figure has increased to 240, which is not even half the shipment. To make matters worse, the 240 pieces that have been booked in, are now being transferred to another FC, and will be available for Prime on the 12th July.

Guess it must be even worse if you're in the Pan EU scheme.

Concur about the FBA inbound processing delay...I use to hand my FBA carton over to UPS, they'd deliver to the FC the next day, the goods would be received/counted by Amazon staff within 24hrs - now I have to factor in 7-10 days.
